Hello!

Its been quite a journey since my husband's diagnosis in March 2019. He is just embarking on the Folfox chemo after having sorafeneib and regoraferneib treatment.

Has anyone else been on Folfox and how did you find it?

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to read that your husband has been dealing with liver cancer for a couple of years and hopefully you'll find this community a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

I don't have the experience you're looking for but if you type 'folfox' into the search bar at the top of the page you'll find a few previous posts on this topic. You could have a read through them and reply to any of the more recent posters if you think they can help you further.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi, I hope this message meets you both well :)

my son has just been diagnosed with fhcc a liver cancer at only 18 he is currently on his 16 th round of floflox , he has his ups and downs but generally he is much better than before the diagnosis he’s even managed to put 2 stones on in weight - he finds the steroids more difficult than the actual chemo as long as he remembers his anti sickness. also a good tip ! Buy lots of gloves and padded socks - it seems to effect the nerves and is not very nice when he gets cold . ( a strange side effect ) but he calls it tingling fingers ..

    hope all goes well
