Family member diagnosed with cancer stage 4 in the Liver which means it has metastasized so unsure if the Liver cancer is primary or secondary.
The impression from the doctor today.
It's either Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or a secondary cancer which has spread from a different organ.
The doctor will need to speak to the oncologist and revert with more details.
Question: Is stage 4 terminal?
I’m very sorry for your loss and can only pray that you are coping well. It’s good that he didn’t have to suffer at all but still must have been terrible to go through all that. I hope you find some comfort knowing that he’s at peace now and have support emotionally too if needed. Grief is a terrible thing and they will always remain in our hearts and the good memories live on with you.
Thank you for the suggestion and we will definitely look into this. Did he have a biopsy at the time? Biopsies are risky and he is trying to avoid this. He’s scheduled for another MRI so we’ll see then. His health has improved so far so hopefully it’s a case of misdiagnosis from the first hospital. Nothing is definite now but it’s really not for me to say and the ultimate decision is from him and his immediate family.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
