husband had bowel cancer last year in nov what for yearly scan hopping for good news but scan found two small shadows on liver what happens next
and is it classed as secondry thank you for anyadvice
Hi trca
I'm really sorry to hear that your husband's recent scan has shown two small shadows on his liver and it's natural to want to know what happens next.
I don't know if your husband needs any further tests or biopsies but once all the results are in there will be a MDT (multidisciplinary team) meeting to decide on a treatment plan.
As to whether these shadows are a new (primary) cancer or a secondary cancer, only your husband's team will be able to tell you that.
I can see that you are a member of the bowel cancer group and I'm sure if you post there you'll get lots of support from others who may have been in the same position as your husband.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your husband's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
