Sadly on 8th October my darling husband passed away. We'd orbren given prognosis of 2/3 months but after having a permanent abdominal drain inserted on 10th Sept he was never the same. We were lucky enough to get a hospice bed on 24th Sept I was able to stay with him the entire timr & we had the most precious 2 weeks in a bubble of love & care. He passed away very peacefully in my arms 5 & half weather his prognosis of 2/3mths. I will be forever grateful to the hospice as it was the 1st time in our whole journey he received proper care. The nhs may be very good in some cases but my husband was let down badly from the moment our local hospital became involved, not to mention the consultant who dismissed him 6 mth prior to diagnosis at a point we were told he would have been curable. Yes, I'm bitter. I'm heartbroken and devastated to have lost my soulmate. Hopefully everyone else on this journey will receive better treatment. Best wishes Modge
