I don't know how soon after having an operation on the liver it's normal to be discharged from hospital. As you posted this a couple of days ago were you able to bring your husband home? If he's still in hospital you could talk through your concerns with the discharge nurse.
If he's how at home and you're still worried that he's come home too early you could speak, with your husband's permission, to his CNS. She should be able to tell you what normally happens and anything to watch out for now he's at home.
