Hi. I’m Brian and new to this forum.
my laranjectomy was in June so I’m on the rehabilitation trail.
having lost a larynx and 20 kilos going through the process I’m delighted to say that half of my weight has returned (was overweight but now I’m where I want to be).
the one issue I have is eating properly. I can’t. I agreed yesterday to have a procedure to widen my pharynx to allow me to eat properly. This takes place early January. If successful it will bring me back to normality (not fully but heh I’m alive and enjoying my life (except the eating).
Im back playing golf, which is a passion of mine and I’m able to converse using my voice tool. I’m also going to spend time with my children and grandchildren up North over Christmas, something I didn’t know would happen 12 months ago.
My laranjectomy has given me a new lease of life. Get the eating sorted and I’ll be in my best shape for years.
