Hi all on lots of social media forums but never thought for one minute I would be here but here we are.

MY Journey so far 7 Dec 24 noted blood in pee called doc and was seen that day.checks done then booked in for the 10 Dec 24 for camera to check bladder result all ok

14 Dec 24 sent for CT scan of Kidneys Results confirmed 10 Jan 25 Tumor on left kidney.

was told now need CT scan of chest 12 Jan CT scan done ie today awaiting results. However my consultant as said left Kidney will have to be removed.

Can't fault the NHS everything happens so fast and smooth maybe to fast for it all to sink in but very positive about the whole thing

I know its a major operation and it will be keyhole and have discussed everything already with my consultant who said he will call me direct in 6 to 7 days with result of chest CT.

Anyway that's me so far just looking forward to the future and staying positive by the way I am 63 years old very active and fit never been in Hospital in my life.

  • Hi Coffebean., what a cool Username. Also can't fault NHS, Been excellent for me since diagnosis April 2024

  • RoflRoflRofl love it.....my scar is called Ziggy...cos of the zigzag shape and of course for David Bowie....had a sexy dream about Bowie the night before my op..so I apologised to my anaesthetist before hand in case I shouted out anything strange... hehehe...

  • Thank you hoping for a fast recovery bit I know its a big op luckily my works pay me in full for 6 months so no rushing back

  • Welcome coffeebean.im new to this group too so welcome.

I wish you well in your surgery.

My situation slightly different.i had double mastectomy and my little so and so was found as an incidental finding.im currently waiting and living life , little did I think I'd come back on this but so I have.

It's a great safe place to let it out if need be.

The group suggested me doing what I love and I've grasped that.i love music and often have it on full blast and been to a few concerts.its my escape.

    All the best to everyone.
