Hi Everyone,
l’m new here. Diagnosed in February with a left kidney tumour stage 2. Having a radical nephrectomy on this Friday 10th. Nervous but want it over with after eight weeks waiting. Terrible shock but luckily it hasn’t spread. Best wishes to all. X
I still can’t sleep on my sides comfortably and that’s after 11 weeks I’m a wee bit jealous
Make sure don’t overdo things too soon, so easy to do as you start to feel better. Sounds like you’re doing well.
Sorry to hear it’s still uncomfortable to sleep on your sides, I can but it still hurts a little and getting up from bed needs a certain technique As every day and week roils by we’ll be on the mend. Take care.
Hi Janey,
thank you for your email and telling me all about your journey. I hope you have recovered from nephrectomy now and your prognosis is good. best of luck
That’s good news to hear. Onwards and upwards. X
I am 5 days post op. Can't lay on my back as I have slipped discs find it uncomfortable. Can only lay on right side as had left radical robotic procedure full kidney removal. In this heat I've not y slept a wink! Glad the rest of week is cooling down!!!? I miss belly sleeping
I had a firm little cushion which I placed under my hip on one side, tilting my body rather than being flat on my back. Sympathy to anyone struggling with sleeping.
