I’m a 39 year old female, went to the doctors with a feeling of a mass in my right side. Had an ultrasound showing a tumour of 10cm, I’ve seen the urologist who strait away is saying it’s cancer and that I will need my kidney removed and that I need a CT scan to see if it’s spread. I’m going out of my mind. I have no symptoms at all apart from the lump itself. Has anybody had a tumour this size that hasn’t spread?
Great news. I’ve had my results back. Also no spread. I have my op on Wednesday.
Incidentally I have huge entry ports but the scarring is absolutely minimal. I think I had a very good surgeon but modern techniques are really good so no need to worry on that score.
Yes not too bad Thankyou. Been 2 weeks now and feel pretty much back to normal except my cuts are very itchy as they are scabbing which is a good sign that they are healing. The first few days were pretty rough though. Where are you at in your journey?
Just leaving hospital tonight after two nights . I’m feeling ok , not much pain at mo
