I just feel I’m writing myself . I have a scan tomorrow and because of my gross haematuria symptons I believe it can be nothing but high grade inoperable kidney cancer .
Hi philw
Welcome to the Online Community. I am normally to be found on the Womb group but happened to see your post so hope you do not mind me responding.
I am sorry to hear that you are having bleeding and are concerned that it could be kidney cancer. I hope that your scan has gone to plan and that you will have some answers soon. I know that it is natural to fear the worst but try to keep an open mind that there may be other causes and that the scan is positive because it is trying to find out what you are dealing with. Once they can work out exactly what they are dealing with- cancer or otherwise - then they can work out what to do about it and hopefully give you a treatment plan.
In the meantime if you feel talking things through would help, then please do give the Support Line a call and speak to one of the nurses on there. They are lovely and it can sometimes just be helpful to chat to someone.
Please do let us know how you get on and if there is anything you need then please do ask.
Jane
