hi  I came to the hospital on Monday thinking in  had had a stroke. Was told.it was secondary cancer in my brain from my kidneys. This time last week I was a normal bloke living a happy life with my beautiful wife and now my world.has fallen apart.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that you have recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer which has spread to your brain and, whilst I haven't had the same type of cancer as you, I do understand what a difficult time this will be for you.

I'm sure the other members of this group will be happy to answer any questions you might have and share their experiences with you.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and any treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hello Michael,

welcome to our friendly group. My heart goes out to you. The diagnosis comes as a massive shock and then there is the limbo of waiting for treatment plans. Its such a lot for you to process. I hope that they are able to quickly start your treatment because then you will feel that something is being done. There are lots on the website who have felt your despair and so you are not alone here. Many have had good responses to treatment too.

Sending you a big hug x
