Radical Nephrectomy Mass was 11cm 7 pounds

wow !! Eleven cm is big. 

The tumour found on my kidney was 9cm. It is amazing how it can be there for so long and, n my case anyway, not be noticed until picked up on a scan.

Great you feel you are doing well. It is still early days really. It was very uncomfortable, for me, for the first few weeks. But gradually became better as my body healed. Now 11 months later you wouldn't know i was any different than before my op.

I have not returned to work but I am driving. How long did you rest before returning to work?

I have been fortunate in as much as i haven't had to rush back to work. The company i worked for,  a huge national motor group,. were absolutely useless in spite of all the flowery wonderful words in their staff manual. So i thought sod it and have taken my time and gradually built up my strength. I am/was a bricklayer/builder so i've been taking on smaller jobs and may well just stick with that. I'm really not that bothered about working full time ever again. I've had a huge wake up call in that there is much much more important things in life than, going to or worrying about, work. So i'm not really much help as to your returning to work question.

I Am In Private Practice

No need to apologize I never agreed to the concept of working 40 hours a week for a ser salary. The only benefit is group health insurance. My husband and I have been married for 28 years we married a few years after high school. We are best friends. We are both self employed so we do not cl9ck in at an office or desk.

He assist me with my Marriage and Family Counseling And I assist him with a his black car transportation service.

1. Hi Sheila, Me too. My mass was found when they were scanning my lungs for pneumonia. I was so ill It was a shock when they told me I had cancer too...eek! I had my radicle nephrectomy 24th Feb. Came out 28th feb. Very sore. Bruised with five incisions. Amazingly I'm fine now and doing well. So glad they found it in September 2023.
