Hi as you all have been in a similar situation and trust me it never gets any better feeling slightly nervous on seeing my Consultant today with results of scan.
This may be the reassurance of okay everything is fine after the operation I had a scan 6 months ago and it was clear. It's just the but ...
The team that did the scan on one of my previous visits suggested if I wanted to see what was going on to ask to see it with my consultant ( they don't always like doing this as you ask questions about what you are seeing not what they want to show you ) however mine was fine explained everything.
So fingers crossed
Staying positive and will keep you posted.
Mike
Hey Mike,
Good luck with getting back to work, I sympathise with your journey there. I feel wary of moaning too much on here as I don't want to bring anyone down. But I hope it gives a little comfort to know we in this house totally get what you're saying about low tolerance, hiding under duvet, kicking and screaming occassionally and just letting ourselves be a big giant sulky pants when we need to!!
The little jokes and turning things into a cartoony story is the counter balance but we certainly can't do that all day, every day. Be very gentle and kind on yourself. Do whatever it takes to get you through, your way.
We'll be out here thinking of you and wishing you the very best possible.
Thank you for being there for us, it is so very much appreciated.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
