I'm starting immunotherapy by drip on Friday avelumab and tablets daily axitinib have anyone else been on these medications at the same time very nervous
Hi Chester fc, yes I'm on the same medication, don't be nervous, they are not too bad. I'm always given 2 paracetamol before the drip starts and first they give a piriton drip/flush before the avelumab, that normally puts me straight to sleep and wake up done an 1hr later. The axitinib is OK also. I've had a problem with my blood pressure going high but that was a preexisting condition of mine before all this started. The nurses will go through it all with you and if your going through Clatterbridge, you normally get a phone call the day before each treatment to check everything is ok and your feeling ready for your next treatment. Good luck
