I am very new to this and am lost in it all as my friend has kidney cancer stage 4 and will be leaving hospital shortly in the next few days after finishing 10 rounds of radio therapy. He will be coming to live with me and I don’t know what I need to do besides looking after him. Where do I ask for help. How Do I go about pads urine bottles etc.. thanks for reading.
Hi Dylancat welcome to the kidney cancer group. You might also consider joining the Family and friends group., to gain support for yourself.
I would think either the cancer nurse specialist or your GP should b able to help you re pads, urine bottles etc
If not, try the helpline on 0808 808 0000.
I also have stage 4 but mine is kept at bay with Pazopanib, an oral med which I take continuously, with treatment breaks when my taste buds go AWOL.
