Any advice to calm the pre-op nerves?
Sometimes I fear I won’t make it through the operation as I need a new hip so am quite unfit.
thanks in advance.

Hi @tinyw
I was overweight when I had my nephrectomy 16 years ago but the surgeon said wasn't unfit n did it anyway.
Think it's natural to b worried about any op, so please try n calm yourself n just relax n " go with the flow".Easier said than done, I know!
Do let us know how the op goes and what your treatment plan is post-op. You will feel better once you know what the future holds re treatnent.
Do you have an op date yet?
Best wishes,
Sue
Hi, I am waiting too. I have lupus, a complex clotting disorderAPS, Adrenal Insufficiency and Steroid induced diabetes. ( Love the way they call them co morbidities..very cheering). It sounds awful written down but tbe surgeon seems relatively confident. How have you been today? I have been ill for months and get depressed and angry quite often. There have been some big blunders in my care and although tbey are sorted now I can't switch off the feelings. Are you sleeping okay?
Welcome to chat any time.
Hopefully in a frw werks we will be laughing at this!
