Hi everyone just typing this in hospital day 1 after the removal of my right Kidney, feeling a bit worse for ware but still here and smiling .

Been a quick diagnosis didn't know I had anything wrong until march when I had kidney stone type pain but was a 10cm growth so yesterday keyhole and main surgery to remove it .

Didn't know what to expect amazing staff at the Derby Royal.

Little steps forward now

Hi Still_here n welcome to the Kidney cancer group

.Wow, you had quite a big tumour removed along with your kidney!

Take it easy, tho they'll probably want you up n moving around, poss with a Zimmer frame, if my experience is. anything to go by. ( Mind you, that was 16 years ago)
