Hi, I'm after a bit of advice. My background is that in November 24 following my diagnosis (t1b 5cm tumour in my right kidney) I had a radical nephrectomy. I have thankfully had clear CT scans and have recently been moved to annual from six monthly. Prior to each scan I have had a blood test to check my kidney function and my consultant has never seemed concerned.
I recently had an annual blood test requested via my GP and much to my dismay, I have been diagnosed with CKD 3. My eGFR has been stable around 56/57. My ACR was checked in August 25 and was 1.6. I have read that kidney function alone should not trigger CKD, but the combination of low kidney function and signs of damage in ACR and protein leakage. The next step is for me to provide a urine sample and hopefully my ACR remains low.
Has anybody on the group come across the same thing?
