New nodule

I have a radical nephrectomy on the right side last August and I was given the all clear. I had a CT scan in March and the results show a 1cm nodule near the site of my surgery. I need to wait for 6 months for another CT scan as the nodule is too small to tell what it is. Has anyone else had this problem and how did it turn out?

Hi Wini,

I had similar. I had the kidney out in May 2021. I went a year with a nodule. Mine then spread to liver, both lungs and my pancreas.

I know that sounds a bit grim but the mets are still contained and so far not spreading. I’m still having 6 monthly CTs and am due to get the results from the last scan next week. Hopefully it will continue to contain the mets xx

hope yours turns out to be just a none cancerous nodule x

Thanks so much for your reply obviously I am worried, but at least I am not the only one. I am so sorry yours was cancerous, but I hope you carry on as you are x
