Not the most newsworthy important or stunning post here today but my daughter who is already part of the Great NHS Red Tape Monsoon is going for it: a career specifically aimed at supporting all those who have been traumatised or are being traumatised by an illness or disease. She works currently by advertising medical posts but after my 12 years of this that or the other CAT scan and nasty crippling anxiety is moved to join the ranks of certified well.. nurses I suppose, of a certain stripe. A counsellor sounds like. Probably?
I am so proud of her: she's seen me at my lowest ebb and has a natural largesse of character, full of joie de vivre and exceedingly curious in nature.. Hope she passes the rigorous training and I know she will.
As most of you know, getting the proper care and support for cancer et al. is crucial (I had no assigned help for 11 years, yes you, missy, I know you and you did nothing at all since day 2. Nothing.) so another qualified 'nurse' involved with the NHS and who will do this properly and professionally is gonna be the bee's pyjamas. Lord knows we need 'em.
Best wishes to every one of you. God bless.
Hi Billy S
What your daughter is training to do is invaluable and I wish her all the best.
Thank you. Its not newsworthy per se, compared to many other posts here but pride is pride!
God bless you.
