Hi Chester fc welcome to the forum..Well done for giving up the cigarettes because it's not easy. I think you are right to be super cautious about vapes as the jury on their safety is out and research is ongoing into potential harm they could cause. Do you have a Smoking Matters service near you or attached to your GP practice as they can offer help and support and help you quit completely. I know vapes are being banned for younger people as the research is suggesting huge harm to younger people from what's in the vapes. Could you go cold turkey or is that a step too far? Gail
Hiya Chester. Nice to meet you.
Agree with granny, not enough out there to tell us how raping effects us.
However, this is how I look at it as a smoker.
Your have a cigarette and u smoke the whole, right to the filter. Along with all those bad chemicals and tar.
If u use a vape sensibly, not puffing it relentlessly, it does sate that craving. And in the short term has to be better than smoking. However, puff, puff puffing on a vape just changing one habit to another.
I am back to smoking grrr. But want to give up again. When I was cigarette free I used a vape and a patch which worked very well. Eventually, I became less fractious. Not needing either.
Now I am back in the smoking rut, and maybe ur message will push my mind set to give up again.
Good luck
Hugs
