So I had been getting pain in my right side of body and lower back which I initially wrote off as I had started boxing recently. It come back a few weeks later so I went to the doctor who sent me for a blood test . Blood test results came back white red blood cells all good same as thyroid said there was a slight marker on something that helps fight infections so asked me to do another . Within that time I had the ultrasound which was Wednesday this week I came out of work and looked at phone and was asked to call doctors so I did . They asked me to come in within the hour and bring someone with me so I went along and was told there is the large mass . This was yesterday so now I’m sat reading all the stories on the forum hoping that I’m going to be ok . I am 37 years old and like to think fairly healthy my wife also happens to be pregnant to so I’m in double overdrive right now . I just wondered what the likelihood is that it has spread I’m guessing I am going to get a t3 rating minimum . Thanks for any information
I recently had my kidney out and mine was 14 cm . I am currently awaiting grade but have been told I am a T3 from scans. It’s a stressful time and mentally tough but everybody on here will tell you to trust your team . I was afraid of it spreading and was worried about the chest scan I had to have after they found the lump on a ct scan. I am a little calmer now I am three months in from my first symptom and I did too much googling which wasn’t really helpful . Good luck
Thanks phill I was literally just reading your post when you was writing . Yes I plan to trust them fully I tO hope mine has not spread . I’ll go in like you thinking the worst and anything else is better . I do find that now I no my side is hurting a lot more but that’s because it’s always on my mind .well that’s what I’m hoping ha
Dear Kyle you might not have to wait too long. I was on the 2WW cancer pathway. The CT and nuclear scans were within that but we had to wait about a month to see the surgeon. We did see a urologist privately which was a waste of time. We were cancelled and brought forward too. I am going to ring the inpatient bed list to see where I am although I think they make exceptions for us and will fit you in asap.
Don’t Google! I’ve done that a lot over the past few days and feel worse!
Fingers crossed that you receive the appointment for your CT scan soon, then once that’s in place they will probably get things moving quicker. Concentrate on your wife and her baby bump to keep yourself strong! Think of that beautiful baby to be.
Kyle
That's great hopefully things will start moving for you and you now have the opportunity to discuss face to face. Hope it all goes well.
Pete
Thanks . Had the appointment it wasn’t to informative I had a urine test no blood in urine and they scanned my bladder to see if it was emptying properly which it was . He said due to size I probably will be losing kidney but until I’ve had a ct scan he won’t no the plan . He did say maybe a biopsy so who knows . He did say he will pencil me in for 3 weeks with what I thought he said surgeon but it may off been just the cancer doctor as that’s what my partner said . Anyway it wasn’t so bad I never cried . My cousin was actually the nurse on reception to hadn’t seen her in years
