Post op follow ups

My own experience following a nephrectomy in October 2020 was that I was discharged from the urology department quite quickly and all my treatment and appointments since have been with oncology.

I don't know the answer but it all sounds fab and such joined-up thinking by the NHS it should be applauded!  

My surgeon follows all his post ops personally . Old school

Ah, your comment is helpful. I started wondering why my surgeon hadn't referred me on to someone else and referred to future scans under his care.

Seems my follow ups are with the oncology team from now on. I guess different hospital trusts have their own protocol

It seems to depend on whether further medical treatment is required.
