I just got a diagnosis of left renal cancer, the consultant is scheduling for surgery asap as hes off on holiday soon, and has engaged a vascular surgeon too, im struggling as they keep rescheduling, first im up for pre-op on 28th july, now its bumoed to 17th which im ok with but then they scheduled the surgery for 31st july, all this back and forth is screwing up my head, im a domestic violence survivor and im not in a great place as im living with my elderly parents for the last few months and my dad has parkinsons which is affecting him badly and its not conducive to a great positive view, i feel like i need my own space just so i can handle things, so im struggling with everything
Oh dear, so sorry to hear what has been happening with you, such a lot to deal with.
The stop start and hold ups drive us all mad….it’s worst than the actual op I think. Hang on in there, you will get your op and hopefully if you are like me will recover quickly …. awful to be in limbo, but you will hopefully get seen soon.
Sending you a big hug xx
thank you, it is so frustrating, i just want to get on with it, my mental health is taking a hammering from all sides, i do truly hope that things progress fast
