So I had my left kidney removed around 3 weeks ago and generally speaking I'm doing a lot better now than I was previously. However.... I've started having these weird hot flushes that suddenly come on out of nowhere, they literally feel like I've sat with my back against a hot radiator and last a couple of minutes. Has anyone else experienced anything like this and if so what was it down to? I'm going to ring one of my nurse support workers tomorrow to get there opinion but thought I'd ask here first just in case anyone else has had a similar experience.
Hi Tomcat,
Sorry to hear you are having problems, sorry I cannot help you there as when I had my op I did not suffer from hot flushes, all I had was feeling sick when cooking or smelling food and a problem with my taste buds, I hope there is someone on the community that may be able to help you take care Sandy
I get them too, but not many and they go as quick as they start. Have not had any surgery related to nephrectomy yet, so no idea. A basic search seems to point to > This < . (It's safe to click). Pretty sure it's probably way off. Your a Kidney down, and mine doesn't work at all, so it's more than likely something to do with the Kidney or lack of one.
