Hello Everyone
Remember @gragon? anndanv posted this update in the incurables group:
I am so sorry to let you know that I have had a message from Ian's wife (Gragon on the site) has died peacefully in St Catherine's Hospice in Scarborough.
My husband and I met him for lunch while we were on holiday, July 2021 & July 2022. We had been virtual friends since 2012 and it was terrific meeting him in person.
He was still messaging me up to recently from the hospice and was very comfortable.
Please pass this on if you know anyone in the Kidney Group etc who knew him. Another bright star in the sky!
I am so sorry to hear this news. I had assumed he wasn’t well as I had been scouring the site for the last couple of months to see if he was still active and feared that he was ill.
He was amazing when I first signed in to this group after my diagnosis in 2018. He gave me hope when I couldn’t see past the terror of initial diagnosis. He talked me down, so to speak.
my husband and i will never forget that and we talk about him often when things seem dark.
Condolences and love to his family if that’s possible
Liz
