My partner is in hospital. His problems are chemo related. As the senior practitioner said. His still there. Spoke to him tonight and he sounded so ill. He can’t eat. Hasn’t been eating well for last couple of weeks. Lost  8 kilos in last month. He said he can’t eat. Good doesn’t taste the same. They have suspended his chemo now. I am worried sick for him.

  • Hi Jerry, I haven’t any experience of chemo for renal cancer, but just wanted to say hello and how sorry I am to hear you sounding so worried. Hopefully someone will be able to help you more.

Sending you a big hug and one for Jerry too.

Take care and let us know how you get on ,

    Jules xx

  • Thank you for your response. I am so worried and scared. Just want some positivity to hang on to. I am I a bad place right now. Need to reach out but have no one . Thank you. Heart

  • Oh Jerry, you are not alone on this site, we all care, we are maybe not in the same situation as you, but we have experienced some lows too. It’s so good that you posted.

Why don’t you give the macmillan help line a ring? They are brilliant.

    Their number is  08082393371 .

Do keep posting though and we will try to help. One of the best bits of advice I was given was not to go down the rabbit holes of what might be, wait until you have definite news. This is hard and but from personal experience it does help. Also try to distract yourself with anything you can….maybe tv? Make sure you are looking after yourself too… trey to eat properly and get some quality sleep ( there are good sleep apps out there) .

I work (as a volunteer)  ambassador for a children’s hospice….and they believe in living for today…..in other words…., don’t regret the past, or fret about the future, just make the most of every day.

    Take care x Jules x

PS apologies I meant to say big hug to your partner too. I think my brain was working faster than my fingers when I typed the previous message..
