Hi all had my successful surgery Monday morning and now recovering at home having left the hospital at 6.30pm Wednesday afternoon, still feeling very tender on my stomach! My surgery was successful with no complications although I was not quite with after the surgery and coming around and had an awful night sleep , feeling totally helpless unable to position myself in bed to get myself comfortable to sleep and lacking in confidence and conviction when trying lower or raise myself in and out of bed! I had no leak and left theatre with no catheter fitted but the day after they had to fit 1 with the amount of fluid retained 2 1/2 litres to be precise . But at home peeing freely able to move around in aided getting stronger by the day, clips booked in for removal a week on Saturday !
Good news Milli1964,
I am so pleased everything went well, so you had clips put in I have not heard of that, but it is great you are on the mend you will get stronger day by day, I bet you and your family are so pleased it is done, I am sending you my best wishes and lots of hugs.
love Sandy xx
Hello Milli. I am interested in your post as my case seems similar. I wish you well in your recovery. I too have had fluid retention, also blood clot bladder blockages and catheters fitted with bladder flushes and urinary tract infection. The blockages were extremely painful and often difficult to remove. I'm coming across like a right Moaner ain't I? Well I've been out of hospital a week now and happy to report I'm in much better shape. The Doctors and Nurses have pulled me back from the brink and although I'm very weak and lethargic, I'm comfortable with just a bit of pain when I pee. Take it easy Millli, all the best to you and your family. Erchie
