So……tomorrows the day when I have my radical nephrectomy……..and I am trying to fill my mind with positive thoughts….despite being anxious. So I thought it would be a good idea to share some of them……
Please feel free to add some to my list to help me and others
I have high hopes that our friend who came up with the term nephrectomites ( can’t remember if it was Dello or Vanman ) may have some pearls of wisdom for us all.
Sending you all one of my legendary big hugs ( I am only 5 foot 2) we’ll just under….but can still give some massive hugs
Jules xx
Well said SD. Keep strong Jules. These chat lines are so inspiring. I read them everyday to kick myself. Love to you all. Adrian.
Hi Adrian, thank you for your kind words.I had a couple of days of stomach cramps so didn’t really post anything. Today is much better and a new day so time to look forward and not back.
I have had another get well card through the post, a lovely basket of fruit and some absolutely beautiful flowers delivered today ( there was no card in with the flowers so I have contacted the company to see who they are from). What a thoroughly uplifting day….and then I log on to see some kind messages.
I never cease to be surprised by how lovely people can be when the chips are down and someone is going through it.
Thanks to everyone on this site for all their encouragement. Xxx
Hi Jules,I’m new to this group also and your chat was one of the firsts that came up.I also had the radical nephrectomy at the beginning of March so I’m 2months down the line and feeling great.I hope your back on your feet and feeling well.Lynn
Hi Lynn,
lovely to hear from you. It's so good to hear that you have come through the other side and feeling great
I still get some cramping and am tired but i am going for walks and can stand up straight xxx
That is fantastic about your walking. It was the best thing for me.I went out every morning with my dog for a good hours walk.Certainly slow at the start and kind of hunched overI enjoyed my mocha coffee from the cafe in the park everyday.Your tiredness will ease as the weeks pass and do will your cramping. All the best
