Hi folks, just finished 8th chemo cycle and have joined a Park Run (in my case walk) group in Billericay. However l wondered if anyone has dabbled with "cold water swimming" and what their experiences were or are. Love to you all, l mean it. Regards Adrian
Good to hear from you Sandy, l'm keeping strong and NOT getting any speedos anytime soon. Maybe a double thick wet suit
Hi Suffolkfler,
Adrian, you really need to be careful about the 'cold water swimming' idea when you have been on Chemo. I have no direct personal experience as I am on immunotherapy plus I don't know what chemo drugs you were given. However my daughter was on chemo for the best part of a year and she couldn't even open the fridge door without getting severe body chills. Speak to your oncology specialist team!
All the best,
Mike
Hi Mike, thanks for your teply. Point taken on board. I shall consult further. I hope your daughter has responded well to her treatment. Regards. Adrian
Hi Adrian, you're welcome and thanks she is making good progress!
Regards,
Mike
Mike, l am pleased for you, your family and especially your daughter. Always good to hear positive news. Adrian
