Hi I am due for a full removal of my left kidney on 29th November.
As I live alone I was wondering how easy it is to cope at home straight after the surgery when discharged from hospital.
It will be difficult to cope alone after surgery. You will be very tired, find it hard to shuffle about and in some pain. I suppose I would have been ok after a week. Maybe if you explain this to the hospital they make be able to offer support such as staying in a bit longer and organising a care package depending on your age
Hi ,
Could u put a bit in your profile so we know where you're coming from, eg how old u r re a care package mentioned by ?
Good luck for your op. Do let us know how it goes
Thanks
Sue
