It's two years since my nephrectomy and they've picked up scattered, 5mm nodules in one of my lungs. The MDT is looking at the scans on Wednesday and I will hear back then what the next step is. I'm naturally a bit shocked but hopeful that treatment will be possible. I'm amazed that they can pick up something so tiny and hoping that the size means that they've picked it up early, if indeed it is anything to be worried about.
So glad this forum is here.

Hi Mags, I expect that news will have come as a shock to you.I have just one tiny 3 mm node of some kind on my left lung, which they don’t seem to be concerned about. Yours are larger and you have multiple ones, so I know that it’s different but I can concur with the feelings of unease when I found out about it.
As you say they seem to have picked them up when they are small and so hopefully they will be treated early if they do need treatment. I expect that Weds seems quite a long time away when you are waiting.
I so hope that it’s a positive outcome for you.
Best wishes Jules x
Hi All, I've been told today that the cancer has returned in a lung and that it is not possible to operate. We'll be given an appointment with the oncologist very soon and he'll discuss immunotherapy with us and decide when it's best to begin the treatment. It's a bit of a shock just now but I'm determined to take all treatment offered and keep going. Mags
Aw sorry to hear this. If it's any encouragement immunotherapy on mine has reduced some of the lung nodules to be undetectable. I'm on ipilimumab/nivolumab. Also, I don't think many lung mets are operable. I'm sure they will be able to treat it. There are so many immunotherapy options these days. You have a good attitude, keep it up.
Hi Mags, sorry to hear your news. You have a positive spirit which I am sure will help. Do keep posting, on the good days and if you feel low too. We will all rally round you .
Thanks for letting us know. I had actually logged on to say I hope you hear something soon. Xx
If it helps the lung nodules I had when starting immunotherapy could hardly be seen on my first scan after starting immunotherapy then on my second scan there was no mention of them at all. Obviously everybody reacts differently but I hope your results are as good
