I'm due to have a partial nephrectomy soon (right upper pole). What would you recommend taking and not taking to the hospital? Hospital suggests a dressing gown but that feels unnecessary to me. I'm a 47 year old man in relatively ok health. I'm based in the UK so I'll be in a busy NHS ward with not a lot of space for storage so don't want to take things that aren't going to be useful.
