Hi all,

I have been offered a reduced dose of Pazopanib to treat my tumour. It's a little complicated as I have chronic under lying conditions.

Anyone taking this with other conditions - if so how have you found it?

  • Morning!  There's this chat about pazo where members discuss it ->

  • Granada. Worked for me with advanced kidney for over 4 years, turning my hair white, but who cares?  Now on immunotherapy...

  • Hi Stu I have been on Pazopanib for 6 months now as my kidney cancer had spread to my lungs.  I started on the highest dose with made my Liver function go very high.  I'm now on a lower dose and though my Liver function went a bit high to start with it has now settled down.  I go for a scan next month so hoping that the drug is helping to slow my tumours down.  Apart from feeling more tired after doing jobs I have been feeling reasonably okay.

So I wish you well and hope that the drug helps you.

  • I'm starting on half dose as I already have heart and kidney failure so fingers crossed

     Hope your scan goes OK.

  • I was on Pazopanib for 4 years and apart from high BP and subsequent breaks off the drug, it did it's job.. BUT then it stopped working so now on immunotherapy..still get very tired and try to nap in afternoons which gives me the evenings I suppose.  Good luck to everyone....

  • I have chronic asthma and so far neither the lung cancer or the drug has made this worse.  So fingers crossed the drug helps you.  I have had a couple of side effects, the Liver one being the worst but this has now settled down.  Another is quite a sore mouth especially the tongue.  When bad I swill my mouth with salt water and always use Corsodyl mouth wash which was recommended by the cancer nurse.

    Take care

  • Oh didn't know about the mouth wash..Will try it. Take care, Irene.

  • Hope the immunetherapy works well for you. Will be on that if these drugs don't work. It's good to help each other. Take care.

    All the best

    Betty
