When do they do the first scan after operation?

I had my operation on October 8th and 6 weeks later had my check up with the surgeon. He said I would have CT scans every 6 months to start with. Does anyone know whether these scans are 6 months after the operation or 6 months after the check up? I'm starting to feel a bit anxious as I approach the six month point and wondering when they will do the scan. Thanks Mags

Hi Mags152,

I had mine six months after the operation but you might want to ring your consultant both to check that they intend to do the same but also so they remember to book the appointment. I had to remind my urologist at the 18 month stage as he had forgotten it was due.

Hi Gragon,

I got all clear on my CT scan for which I am hugely grateful. I am seeing the consultant in a couple of week because I'm still getting rib pain and stomach cramps. He said he thought they were "post operative changes". Either way the CT scan results have made everything else seem bearable.
