Hi,
4 weeks ago I had my last abvd session, I'm still waiting for the pet scan date. However it's my wedding anniversary next week and I'm wondering if I should be ok to have a glass of wine, I haven't had a drink since treatment began and for some reason I feel a touch nervous about having one.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Hi again Mrsvvcmini, first congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary.
I would think you would be safe to have a glass of wine…… When I was having my main chemo I was in hospital for 5 nights for each of my 6 cycles. My first cycle was over New Year 2013/2014 .
Being in Scotland New Year is a important celebration….. so the ward staff took in some party food and some drinks to ‘take in’ the New Year.
So I was sitting with a single malt whisky in one hand with my two chemo pumps pumping my chemo into my PICC line was n the other.
I asked the staff nurse about having the alcohol and she said it was not a problem having a small drink considering the poison I was having pumped into me - have a great celebration
