This treatment (cycle 4a) was the first treatment without having Bleomycin in the ABVD chemo regime, which is good. Everything seems to be going In the right direction.
I don't want to speak too soon...its day 4 post chemo but I've not experienced the fatigue and anaemic feeling I usually have..
I'm curious did others experience lesser side effects after dropping the Bleomycin?
Hi fate22 and welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have HL but I was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare, incurable type of NHL Stage 4a so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I understand the challenges of the journey well.
A number of group members have had Bleomycin dropped from their ABVD and did report seeing a benefit but I will leave the group members to confirm this themselves.
Congratulations on your impending little boy, again we have had a few members navigate the treatment journey whilst pregnant and had no problems.
Always around to chat.
