went to doctors last week he did some blood tests and they came back ok apart from I’m borderline anaemic

he said he would send me to haematology depending on results but I didn’t get results until late Thursday and receptionist at doctors said I’ll have to wait until Tuesday

I have been so uncomfortable last couple nights with swelling in one groin and worry

anyone else had low B12 ? Does this sound like lymphoma ?

  • Hi  welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.

I was diagnosed in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (CTCL) Stage 4a so know this journey rather well.

Honestly we can’t say if this is Lymphoma or not. These symptoms can be down to many things so best not jump straight in.

There are over 60 types and subtypes of Lymphoma. Some folks will present with classic symptoms but others, like myself only ever had a skin rash and no other symptoms with all my blood tests saying nothing about Lymphoma.

The main diagnosis tool for Lymphoma is a Biopsy and CT/PET scan for staging so this can take time but it is important for clear information to be found so relax, trust the system and the one thing to keep in mind - Lymphoma is very treatable.

The link below is taken from Lymphoma Action website and will explain everything you need to know about the diagnosis journey.

Akways around to help out, chat or answer questions ((hugs))
