Hi,kaitak here, ive just joined a week ago, and I have been trying to get travel insurance for a 10 day trip to Dubai, and I was wandering if there are any members of the community who may have any insurers that they would recommend.
Hi Kaitak sound great but unfortunately it can be difficult to find reasonably priced travel insurance when you have had a cancer diagnosis but hopefully you'll be able to get a quote.
For me it took me to be 2 years into remission so that was 3 years post my last treatments to get Insurance and that was only for Europe.
Have look through the 'recommended travel insurance' thread in our Travel Insurance Group as it's where the majority of recommendations from other forum members are gathered.
Happy hunting.
Hi Mike, sorry for my late response to your note. I was able to get myself and my wife covered for our break before I started my R-CVP treatment. It certainly took sometime, but after going through all the companies that you see advertising on television, and in the papers,I ended up using Saga, yes we are both over 60, but the quote was about a quarter of what the majors were looking to charge me for 6days of sun, just before starting my treatment.
Well done you, enjoy your time away.
