During my darkest hours l found Chantelle  Patu...having being told l had a friend called Trevour the tumour in my chest 2 years ago l spent nights watching Facebook when up popped Chantelle Patu a real inspirational lady that has taught me to be me no matter what disability l have or what size l am ,that l can still get up apply my makeup and look cute (her words) even if l am at home not going anywhere.Make up makes me feel like the 16 year old girl that first started using it ,l feel young , l feel well and look well  even though l am in a lot of discomfort due to chemotherapy induced arthritis ...I may be limited in movement l may be in constant pain but l if l  have my face on l am the 16 year old girl who has just walked out with a full face of make up without a care.... LADIES AND GENTS PLEASE BE YOURSELVES DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU CAN'T BECAUSE YOU CAN OR YOU SHOULDN'T BECAUSE YOU SHOULD AND GIVE THAT CANCER A REAL FIGHT AS IF YOU WERE THAT 16 YEAR OLD ONCE YOU ARE OUT THE OTHER END LIFE IS REALLY GOOD IN WHATEVER FORM KissLipstick

  • Hi again Kelly,

So good to hear from you and to read through your thoughts.

The cancer journey can have its challenges but the one area we can all control is how we get through this, how we control the whirlwind between the ears and I do like the Mandela quote "It always seems impossible until its done"....... and you have done it.

Having just turned 65 I like the thought of being 16 again....... but not sure I could deal with the spotty face, the hair down to my shoulders and dealing with teenage girls.

Have as wonderful a Christmas as the restrictions allow you and lets look forward to positive progress in 2021 when we don't see COVID or Brexit on the news 24/7.
