i was just in the shower there and thinking I had best be quiet as my daughter is on nights (she’s a vet student) and trying to sleep. It took me right back to 3 years ago when she was having ABVD for Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 2 and I was tiptoeing around  trying to let her have a sleep and I just wanted to let those of you who are still in the thick of all the treatment know that it does get better. My daughter had to take a year out of uni while she had treatment and it was tough watching this beautiful girl endure chemo and lose her hair but,  thankfully and incredibly , she has been in remission for 3 years now. Yesterday she had her 6 monthly check up. All is well and the chances of HL returning are less and less each day. She’s in her final year of study now, has all her hair back and lives life to the full. A real party animal!  It all seems like a horrible dream now. So please, if you or your loved one have just been diagnosed or are struggling through treatment,  take heart from this and know that you will get your lives back. We are so grateful to our wonderful NHS and there really is hope going forward. x
