My husband wanted to ask if any of you had trouble breathing out your nose. This has been going on for weeks. We aren't sure the cause of this. He has done sinus rinses and breathing steam. Also, he is experiencing worse throat pain and is having a hard time eating. He ate well all through his treatments and up until about a month ago. He did have thrush, but we feel this is gone, so now we are wondering if he can go back to using the steroid rinse and flonase. We will be calling the doctor and hope to get in to see him at the end of the week as we will be close by visiting our kids and grandkids. Lots to manage here. On a positive note, his energy levels are improving. Thanks for being here.
Hi Rara. I had trouble breathing through my nose but my op was different to your husbands. My op was for jaw cancer and I have had 2 maxillectomies over time which has caused the issue. I do hope that your doctor can cast some light on the issue as I know how hard it is having to mouth breath a lot. On the bright side my consultant performed a small op widening my nasal passages and that has helped me considerably and I no longer mouth breath all the time. It made a real difference to me. It's great that your husband's energy levels are improving that is a step in the right direction.
