Hi all,
Didn’t hear from me for some time, but I am reading weekly and trying to respond sometime.
life is busy, generally all ok except going to perimenopause is fun.
Just wondering (even I spoke to my oncologist today), if I can share or get experience from you. I had bit of cold, allergy last month, and in the morning more spiting than usual. On Friday I could feel something on my chest, but was doing more work physically so I thought it is muscle. Anyway, nothing really think off, but today morning in my spit it was tiny blood.
is anyone had experience as that?
called oncologist and will do pet scan next week, but he said he isn’t worried.
I am feeling good, normal, can breath normally without any pain… anyway…
take care x

Hi Marta.
I have telangectasia in my throat and if I have a really nasty coughing fit ( happens sometimes if I aspirate) I spit blood

Over 2 years since Chemotherapy Radiotherapy finished and I still get little traces of blood, oncology give me a look every 6 months and seem happy with my progress. Stops me worrying. A lot of damage was done during our treatment, takes a while to recover.

Hi everyone,
just a quick update - I had my PET scan yesterday and I'm heading to my oncologist appointment on Tuesday (which was booked months ago). I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about it, and it's never easy, but I'm trying to stay positive. Having a clear head helps a lot...
Hope you're all doing well, sending love to you all,
Marta
Hi Marta.
Hope the blood flecks have cleared up now?
During RT, my chap's mucous had a fair amount of blood present and my usual panic kicked in!
His coughing sessions were/are explosive (understatement) so I pestered his team, two bleep oncs and others to be on the safe side. All assured us if was a natural side effect of treatment, but gave him chest x-rays to make sure everything was in order.
Although not always now, some small flecks still appear but I'm far less anxious about it. Hopefully, others who might be experiencing the same will read your thread and ease their minds.
Good luck for Tuesday.
Gill xx
