Today I finished No# 12 of Radiation and No# 7 of Chemo at week 3. It's a real learning curve and full of adjustments. I started having serious headaches and debilitating pain, probably because I made it a mandatory part of my treatment not have ANY Opioids, and they fought against that, but it is my decision and I'm the boss.
Finally that is taken care of with other medications and the pain is going away. I lost the taste of most foods and need to constantly experiment with different foods and seasonings. Seafood and Poultry is pretty much the only meat I can still recognize. The best advice I received so far is to keep eating. I eat constantly, even when I can't taste it or don't like it. I haven't lost any weight during this process.
Exercise I'm finding out is really important. Although I have good days and bad days I still walk a mile to my appointments and back everyday. I got lazy a few times and that made it hard to do other things as I wore out easily.
Just keeping in touch and I will return.
Hi Spencerbear
we talked last night about going to A&E as you were in some trouble.
How did that go?
