Has anyone else gone on meds (Sertraline) to help them feel better?? Im worried cos it says can make you feel worse to start- am not sure i can handle feeling worse.
Thanx for all earlier responses.

Hi Jimbo
Most who are in recovery do feel a bit low at times, goes with the territory
Part of the problem for me was lack of decent sleep, GP wanted me on antidepressants, I was reluctant... so refused, instead I was given a short course of low dose Zopiclone to aid sleeping, this worked for me.... others have gone down other routes

Hi Jimbo. Sorry to hear that you are feeling so low. As Peter says most of us feel depressed for a while after or during our treatments. I was in the same boat and was recommended to have a short course of anti depressants too. In the end I found talking worked better for me but everyone is different and if my depression had persisted I would definitely have taken anti depressants. Things do improve in time but give the meds a chance to kick in.
