Dreading the upcoming week, waiting for biopsy results. Been feeling a bit rough, blood work is all over the place, no energy ect. Just feeling proper low. Trying to boost my energy with vitamins, as my diet has been shocking. However, I've stopped my pain meds and was able to eat some homemade chunky vegetable soup. Sorry just a moan.

  • Hi

If I remember your PET lit up. Did you have a biopsy after that?
Radiation fatigue is absolutely awful. It can really slay you. Gentle exercise and plenty of rest helps.
I seem to recall you are back at work too. That won’t help.

  • Hi Dani,

Yes, I'm waiting for the results of the biopsy, should have them next week. My anxiety is through the roof. Yes, I'm back at work, using some of my leave for alternate days off. Terrified to pick up any bugs in the hospital. My bloods were all out of whack , but my nutrition has been poor, which I'm trying to remedy.

I was in the same boat. Mine came back clear.
It’s tough. You’ve taken that important first step in better nutrition. Fingers crossed for the biopsy results. The chances are good. Hugs.

  • Hi Scooter

T2N1M0 tonsil cancer chemoradio finished June 2023

You are doing well, eating chunky soup is a step in the right direction so is being off the pain meds...morphine and opioid withdrawal can hit some hard....takes a while to adjust....improvement? things should start to motor on after 4 months ..slowly at first then gather pace...

Feel free to have a wee moan anytime...we've all been there

  • Cheers Peter, thanks for the encouragement. Sunglasses
