Hi just wanted to update on my water blisters. I was having them since RT finished in June. A few every single day. After nearly 6 months of having ulcers and blisters they have finally started to ease. I haven't had any in a week now and it makes such a difference. I had my monthly apt with max fax this week and he was very pleased with my tongue and it's healing process. have had a few wee blips this past few weeks with bumps etc in my mouth but all is ok. I felt this really filled me full of anxiety worrying about recurrence. I got great reassurance from the consultant this week that he got my cancer completely and the RT was thrown at it to make completely sure. It's really an up and down time at the minute . You can be perfect one day then the next if something feels or looks strange the whole anxiety takes over and the worry sets in. I suppose time will only help with this. Doing my head neck and mouth exercises religiously three times a day. My neck actually felt worse this week . The consultant said the next six months it will feel worse but then start to get better. But doing the exercises he says definitely helps. Did anyone experience any of this. Can't believe it's a full year start of January last year that I bit my tongue and an ulcer appeared. It all started from there. Here we are nearly a year later and I'm hoping 2025 will be a better year. Merry Christmas to all on this site and thank you for your help xx
Hi Jg123, I'm almost 10 months clear and I still get the odd ulcer on my palate, the odd ache in my neck, or my tongue.. It's only to be expected after what we've been through, the treatment is brutal and it will take a while to fully heal..

Hi ulcers can play a part for a good few years I can’t still get them if I’m too adventurous with food. You get used to them. Enjoy Christmas it will get easier as Los says treatments brutal and our bodies take time to recover.
