Hi all,

I’m getting worse at night waking up with uncomfortable mucus in my throat that I can’t seem to shift. I do have a nebuliser that helps but I wondered if anyone else struggles at night with breathing and is there any suggestions that can help?

Thanks for listening

  • Hi. First reply here.

My radiologist prescribed glycopyrrolate, 1mg pills, three times daily for this problem. The last pill I take closer to bedtime. It works.

Btw, I am only a few days out of radiation treatment. Do not have much strength or energy.

  • My oncologist told me to stop using the nebuliser so much as it can also dry mucus up ,she told me to try steam ,head over a bowl with towel over ,it does work ,but another 20 mins added to the daily routine ,depending on how many times a day you decide, you could also add some Vicks or albas oil which helps too.
