Don’t forget that when we are discharged we still remain in the care of our hospital. Just because we have survived five years doesn’t mean that we won’t run into trouble again. On the other hand we do get things that aren’t cancer.
I spotted an ulcer on my tongue that didn’t feel right, contacted my CNS and my Maxfac consultant fitted me in the following week. I was greeted as a long lost friend but thankfully all I was dealing with was a traumatic ulcer cause by rubbing on an uneven tooth.
