Hi everyone, I had the results of my post treatment MRI today and it appears I'm cancer free! I didn't expect it as my tumour was stage 4b and had invaded the bone of my eye socket, so there was mention of potentially removing my eye! But I'm clear! I hope that shows people who are starting treatment and going through all the worries and side effects, how curable this type of cancer is, even at stage 4b and poorly differentiated!
My oncologist reminded me that we're never 'cured' and it could return, but I know that. I'll always have a snotty nose, I've lost some hearing on the tumour side and I'm highly likely going to lose sight in one eye, oh and the horrible dry mouth, but that feels like a small price to pay to be where I am now! Thank you all for your support and I'll keep checking in in case I can help anyone in return. Back to normal-ish life for me on our boat! I'm sooooo happy!
Oh what marvellous news. Love it. What a great Christmas present.
